Hydration Station

I am trying to get at least 3 liters of water into my body a day!  That's a lot of trips to the bathroom. Having just been pregnant I am used to "talking to a man about a horse" so to speak.

Seeing that I don't have a great memory right now I needed an easy way to keep track of how much water I was or wasn't consuming.

I always think I drink more then I do.  To make sure I get enough I first fill up my 2 liter water pitcher first thing in the morning. I don't put any ice in it so I get an accurate measurement. I save the ice for my cup.

I fill my cup up with ice and then water. I love super cold water and tend to drink more that way.

Having a cute cup to drink from helps as well.  My kids practice the What's Yours Is Mine rule so I make sure to get them their own cups filled with ice water do they don't drink mine!

What tips or tricks do you have for getting your hydration on?

Do I really want to do this?

Well here it goes.  I hope I don't regret this.  If you only knew how many before pictures I have taken, it would blow your mind.  Mine is blown that I keep taking them!  The goal is to finally get to the point where I am taking my final after picture.  Maintenance mode is something I would like to be in!

Here is my before pic.  There may have been a few tears shed after seeing these.  I don't feel like I look like this until I see pictures.  I plan on wearing this outfit once a month and posting the pics so we can all see the progress I am making.

I have seen pics like this on Pinterest and I think it is so cute.  So while I am getting smaller my baby will be getting bigger.  This little man is going to be a chunk!  He is only two months old here and about 16 lbs?  I don't know, we go to the doctor in a couple days for his check up.  I plan on taking a pic like this once a month as well.

After taking my before pics, shedding a few tears, playing a little Just Dance in that outfit and having my six year old laugh at me because my butt was jiggling so much we headed to the park to so I could start C25K.
It's humbling to think that last October I ran a marathon in 4:20:00.  Ten months later I am struggling to run for one minute at a time!  I know I will get back to where I was it just sucks.  My knees were pretty sore and it was super hot but I did it and I ran every time I was supposed to and for the whole time.

My Goals for the week are:
  • complete the first week of C25K
  • Eat Clean...as possible
  • Drink lots of water
  • One treat for the week
Well I am going to press publish.  Here goes to inspiring myself to step it up and anyone else who would like to join me on this journey.

Why I want to be fit

I want to be fit. I want to be able to run around after my kids on the playground. While it is nice to lay here on the warm concrete bench and feel bad for myself that I have huge nursing boobs and so much weight to lose, I know I don't want it to always be like this.
What's a reason you want to be fit?

I love that my husband is just a much a kid at the playground as the littles are.

Beginning of an Era...again

I am so excited to be back to blogging my weight loss/fitness journey!  I have changed my blog name and I lost the content that I had on my old blog.  I didn't renew my domain name with GoDaddy.  I wasn't really up to paying $60 a year for it.  I needed to make blogging easy and simple if I am going to stick with it.
I will be posting more later today but I wanted to get this up and running!!  Now if only I was the one running as well....
